AARP Tax-Aide will again be working with the Mount Pleasant Library to provide free tax preparation services.  Appointments will be available at 10:00, 11:30 and 1:00 on Thursdays from Feb. 1 through April 11.  This year’s process involves 2 steps:  

1) Make an appointment - This can be done online at freetaxhelpwestchester.com  (read the cover page, click “Schedule An Appointment”, and proceed) or by calling the MPL Tax-Aide message line at 914-340-3578.

2)  After making an appointment, taxpayers will have to pick up an information packet from the library.  These will include forms and instructions on what taxpayers must do before they show up.  These packets will be available at the Mount Pleasant Main Library Reference desk starting Tuesday, January 23. 

A 20-minute fun interactive lap-sit storytime that will include songs, bouncing rhymes, and a few very short stories.  This experience gives babies an opportunity to socialize and caregivers a time to share. Recommended for newborns–12 months.

This interactive storytime uses finger plays, action rhymes, songs, and stories to encourage an enjoyment of books and to stimulate early listening, learning, and speaking skills. Recommended for ages 1–2 ½.

Would you like to learn a new and useful skill? Join Daphne to learn the basics of a hobby and make a beginner project to take home. This month we will be making felt flowers! All materials provided. 

For grades 3-6. *Please register for each child attending.

The storytime will include songs, fingerplays, stories, movement activities and a simple craft. For children ages 2 to 5 years. Family Storytime will be offered on Thursdays from January 9 to March 27, excluding February 20.

The Board of Trustees meets monthly at the Main Library at 7:00 PM. 

All meetings are open to the public and library patrons are encouraged to attend if they have questions or concerns.
