A haunting romantic drama set on the windswept Yorkshire moors, where the tormented Heathcliff (Laurence Olivier) returns to Wuthering Heights to find his beloved Cathy (Merle Oberon) married to another. Directed by William Wyler, this adaptation of Emily Brontë’s novel won the Academy Award for Best Cinematography and earned eight additional nominations, including Best Picture and Best Actor.
